Hi Everyone,
This is a quick post to apologise for the downtime on the site yesterday (from about 2pm - 9pm GMT / 9am - 2pm EST).
This was due to the site being moved onto a shiney new server for the ‘Christmas rush’! However, as oftent he case with computers, there were a few teething issues!
Everything’s back and up and running and should be faster than ever!
So again I’m sorry about this and I hope you didn’t miss the site too much ![]()
For the past couple of years, whychristmas?com has teamed up with Lifespring! Media to produce the Lifespring! whychristmas show.
Well, we’re planning to to it again!
On the 2008 Advent Calendar! We’d love to have how to say ‘Happy Christmas’ or ‘Merry Christmas’ in a different language every day!
So if you know how to say ‘Happy Christmas’ or ‘Merry Christmas’ in a different language we’d love you to be involved and have you as part of the Advent Calendar!
If you’ve got a microphone plugged into your computer, you can record a version of a language on the Christmas In Other Languages page at whychristmas?com. Or from a phone, in the USA, you can call toll free and leave a message on: (877 433-9091)
And if you’re really techy, you can send an mp3 to info@whychristmas.com
So if you’d like to be part of the Lifespring! whychristmas show, please get in touch!

Oh yes, this blog should be mobile friendly as well now!
well sort of…
The site has had a bit of a refresh with a bit more modern look and some pages (like the Christmas Recipes) are now easier to get to.
There’s an improved ’share this’ function on all the pages and the five latest blog posts are now listed on the home page.
I’ve love to know what you think, so either leave a comment or you can contact me using the form.
Keep an eye on the site and blog as there should be some more pages and fun stuff coming soon!
Two more countries have been added to the whychristmas?com visitor map, so hello New Caledonia and Ethiopia!
I’ve just added a page about Christmas in Hungary to the site! I love adding new information!
And Happy St. John’s Day everyone!
To go with today’s Advent Calendar post of Christmas Crafts - I’ve added two Madagascan Christmas Recipes for ways of cooking chicken (or turkey) for Christmas. Go on, spice up your Christmas dinner!
